Special Council Meeting

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge support the request of Pat Higgins, Canadian Tire for use of the vacant Coffee Time location as a sorting and distribution centre for the Canadian Tire Annual Toy Drive from November 24, 2022 to December 20, 2022 be received for information.

THAT correspondence from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing regarding More Homes Built Faster, Proposed Amendments to the Greenbelt Plan, the Greenbelt Area boundary regulation (O. Reg. 59/05) and Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan be received for information; AND THAT a copy of same be

THAT Report RC-17/22 from Lisa John-Mackenzie, Tourism Development Coordinator be received for information; AND THAT Council supports the Holiday trail including the use of the Downtown Parkette for the Tourism Trailer and tree.

THAT Report CL-26/22 of Laura Rupprecht, Clerk’s Assistant be received for information; AND THAT the 2023 Council and Committee meeting schedule be approved.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law Nos. 2022-126 to 2022-134 and the same be read a first and second time.

THAT By-law Nos. 2022-126 to 2022-134 be now read a third time, finally passed and the Mayor and Clerk duly sign and seal same.

THAT, in accordance with Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, the Council of the Township of Uxbridge resolve into an ‘In Camera’ session at 1:55 p.m. to discuss the following matters: A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the Municipality - 1 A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the Municipality - 2

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge rise from In-camera at 2:07 p.m. with business to report.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge accept a donation of a portion of land at 637 Wagg Road, Uxbridge.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge accept a donation of land at 4260 Concession 7 Road, Uxbridge, more particularly described as Part Lot 16, 17, Concession 6, Township of Uxbridge, Region of Durham.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law No. 2022-135, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of its special meeting of Council of November 7, 2022 and the same be read a first and second time.

THAT By-law No. 2022-135 be now read a third time, finally passed and the Mayor and Clerk duly sign and seal same.
