Special Council Meeting

THAT the Region of Durham be advised that the Council of the Township of Uxbridge hereby appoints Gerri Lynn O’Connor to the Region of Durham Land Division Committee.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge hereby appoints the following to the Uxbridge Public Library Board for the 2023-2026 Term of Council. Dwight Clements Agnes Croxford Cathy Peters David Phillips Sheldon Wolfson Christine McKenzie

THAT Report PR-02/23 from Amanda Ferraro, Director of Community Services be received for information; AND THAT Council endorse applying for the FCM’s Community Buildings Retrofit (CBR) initiative / GHG Reduction Pathway Feasibility Study with Elexicon Group Inc. as the lead applicant; AND THAT the Uxpool portion of the grant, up to $13,000, would be funded by the Pool Reserve Fund; AND THAT the Library portion of the grant, up to $13,000, would be funded by the Library Reserve Fund.

THAT Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report DS 01/23, as amended, of Elizabeth Howson, Macaulay Shiomi Howson regarding Plan of Condominium Application, Mosaik (Uxbridge) Inc., 62 Mill Street, Part Lot 29, Concession 6, Township of Uxbridge for information; AND THAT Council recommend to the Region of Durham the approval of the Plan of Condominium subject to the Conditions of Draft Plan Approval with respect to Plan of Condominium, Region of Durham File No. C-U-2022-01 which conditions may be modified prior to submission to the Region to remove redundancies and to make other minor corrections.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge recommend to the Region of Durham Land Division Committee deferral of consideration of Application LD 134/2023 until additional information is submitted to the Township with respect to the proposed development of the severed and retained lots and how the proposed development will address the criteria in the Township’s Official Plan.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge recommend to the Region of Durham Land Division Committee that Applications LD 129/2022 be denied.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law Nos. 2023-006 and 2023-013 and the same be read a first and second time.

THAT By-law Nos. 2023-006 and 2023-013 be now read a third time, finally passed and the Mayor and Clerk duly sign and seal same.

THAT, in accordance with Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, the Council of the Township of Uxbridge resolve into an ‘In Camera’ session at 1:08 p.m. to discuss the following matters: A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the Municipality

THAT Council of the Township of Uxbridge rise from In-Camera at 1:25 p.m. with no business to report.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law No. 2023-014, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of its special meeting of Council of January 19, 2023 and the same be read a first and second time.

THAT By-law No. 2023-014 be now read a third time, finally passed and the Mayor and Clerk duly sign and seal same.
