Council Meeting

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive the presentation by Pina Colavecchia, Deloitte LLP regarding the 2023 Audit Service Plan for information; AND THAT Council direct that the 2023 Audit Service Plan be released to the public.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge agree to hear the delegation of Lorraine Sunstrum-Mann and Audrey Andrews of Sloane's House.

THAT the minutes of the regular meeting of Council of October 23, 2023 be approved.

THAT the minutes of the Public Planning meeting of October 23, 2023 be approved.

THAT correspondence from Music By the Bay re their Studebaker John & The Hawks event be received for information; AND THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge deem Music By the Bay presents Studebaker John & The Hawks on March 16, 2024 at the Uxbridge Music Hall from 1:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. a Municipally Significant Event.

THAT correspondence from Bev Northeast re New development of the United Church property be received for information; AND THAT the correspondence be forwarded to the applicant, planner, and Development Services staff.

THAT the minutes of the General Purpose and Administration Committee of November 6, 2023 be approved.

THAT the minutes of the Public Planning meeting - ZBA 2023-09, Veens of November 6, 2023 be approved.

THAT the minutes of the Public Planning meeting - ZBA 2023-10, Mangione of November 6, 2023 be approved.

THAT Report TR-29/23 of Susan Straughan, Manager of Property Taxation and Revenue be received for information; THAT Council approve the report relating to applications under Sections 357 and 358 of the Municipal Act; AND THAT Council authorizes the Manager of Property Taxation & Revenue to adjust the tax accounts accordingly.

THAT Report TR-32/23 of Susan Straughan, Manager of Property Taxation & Revenue be received for information; AND THAT it is recommended Committee approve a Municipal Capital Facility agreement, to allow for partial exemption of the property taxes for the property at 70 Franklin Street.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law Nos. 2023-118 to 2023-125 and the same be read a first and second time.

That by-law Nos. 2023-118 to 2023-125 be now read a third time, finally passed and the Mayor and Clerk duly sign and seal same.

THAT, in accordance with Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, the Council of the Township of Uxbridge resolve into an ‘In Camera’ session at 10:44 a.m. to discuss the following matters: Personal matters about an identifiable individual, including Municipal and Local Board employees.

THAT Council rise from In-camera at 10:55 a.m. with business to report.

THAT Report CL-30/23 of THAT Report CL-30/23 of Julia Shipcott, Administrative Assistant, Clerk’s Department be received for information; AND THAT Heidi Wilkins be appointed to the Zephyr Community Hall Board for the 2022-2026 Term of Council.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law No. 2023-126, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of it's regular meeting of Council of November 13, 2023 and the same be read a first and second time.

THAT By-law No. 2023-126 be now read a third time, finally passed and the Mayor and Clerk duly sign and seal same.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge agree to hear the delegation of Lorraine Sunstrum-Mann and Audrey Andrews of Sloane's House, Whitby.
