THAT correspondence from the Town of Midland regarding Direct Payment of Federal Funds to Municipalities to Waive Property Taxes for the Year 2020 - Financial Help to Alleviate the Suffering from COVID-19 Pandemic be received for information.

THAT the Finance Committee refer the request of Rob Houston, Uxbridge Secondary School (USS) for sponsorship of a USS Graduation Award in the amount of $400 to staff to review the scholarship program and the amount provided; AND THAT staff come back with a recommendation on how to proceed.

THAT Report PWO-14/20 of Ben Kester, Director of Public Works be received for information; AND THAT the Township of Uxbridge notify the Region of Durham to award Purchasing Co-op tender T-308-2020 for the Supply and Delivery of Propane to Parkland Fuels Corporation for a price of $74,729.25.

THAT Report PWO 15/20 of Ben Kester, Director of Public Works and Operations be received for information; AND THAT the Township of Uxbridge notify the Region of Durham to award Purchasing Co-op tender T-280-2020 for the Supply of Sodium Chloride to K & S Windsor Salt Ltd. for a price of $25,650,156.00.

THAT Report PWO 16/20 of Ben Kester, Director of Public Works and Operations be received for information; AND THAT the Township of Uxbridge notify the Region of Durham to award Purchasing Co-op tender T-279-2020 for the Delivery of Sodium Chloride to 1035477 Ontario Limited – Glenn Windrem for a price of $66,450.00.

THAT Report GR-03/20 of Councillor Gary Ruona be received for information; AND THAT Councillor Ruona and staff be directed to report back with further detailed information including location, Regional approval, potential safety concerns and full costing including materials, construction delivery and installation.

THAT the Finance Committee receive Report BG-01/20 of Councillor Bruce Garrod for information; AND THAT Finance Committee approve the following budget reductions: Reduce the ‘enhanced communications’ budget by 50%; Cancel Councillor registration for fundraisers ie. golf tournaments, galas, etc.; Cancel all Councillor in-person registration for remaining 2020 conferences, and associated travel, where appropriate. Request staff revisit, on a councillor-by-councillor basis, the permanent removal of health/dental benefits where councillors currently have redundant coverage and where benefit program would permit this; AND THAT Councillor Garrod create a follow up report no later than Sept 1st quantifying savings from this report and to make further recommendations if social distancing related to COVID-19 remains in place.

THAT Report CAO-05/20 of Kristi Honey, CAO be received for information; AND THAT the Township of Uxbridge be authorized to enter into an agreement with GDL Solutions for professional services for the planning and migration of Microsoft technologies currently on premise to migrate to the secure Canadian Microsoft Azure cloud for $11,000.

THAT correspondence from Daniel Di Leo of Goodwood Kartways regarding Goodwood Kartways 2020 Schedule Update be received for information.

THAT correspondence from the Honourable Steve Clark, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing regarding Labour Deployment as a result of COVID-19 be received for information; AND THAT a copy of same be forwarded to staff for consideration.

THAT Report BG-02/20 of Councillor Bruce Garrod, Ward 3 Councillor re By-law Review Update-Strategic Plan Initiative be received for information.

THAT Report GR-03/20 of Councillor Gary Ruona be received for information; AND THAT Councillor Ruona and Township staff be directed to report back with additional detailed information on the Art Display Boxes including location, Regional approval, potential safety concerns and full costing including materials, construction delivery and installation.
