Council Meeting

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge direct staff to investigate costs to operate the museum during weekend hours for this event.

5 THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report DS 33/19, as amended, of Elizabeth Howson, Macaulay Shiomi Howson for information; AND THAT Council approve the Zoning By-law Amendment Application by 2452595 Ontario Limited, 231, 235, 241, 245 and 249 Reach Street, Part of Lots 28 and 29 , Concession 7 Township of Uxbridge and adopt the implementing Zoning By-law Amendment; AND THAT Council recommend to the Region of Durham the Conditions of Draft Plan Approval with respect to Plan of Subdivision, Region of Durham File Nos. S-U-2018-01 and C-U-2018-01; AND THAT Council direct that no playground be located a minimum of 30 metres of north lot line; AND THAT a copy of the development plan be sent to the Active Transportation Committee for review during the Site Plan phase.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report DS 40/19 of Elizabeth Howson, Macaulay Shiomi Howson for information; AND THAT Council approve the C3 Zoning By-law Amendment and adopt the implementing Zoning By-law Amendment.

THAT the Report DS 41/19 of Elizabeth Howson, Macaulay Shiomi Howson be received for information; AND THAT Council approve the Zoning By-law Amendment Application for Township of Uxbridge, Goodwood Lions Hall, 4289 Front Street, Part Lot 17, Concession 3, Township of Uxbridge, and adopt the implementing Zoning By-law amendment.

6 THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report RC- 09/19 of Amanda Ferraro, Director of Community Services for information; AND THAT Council direct staff to move forward on the purchasing of these two storage units for the cost of $11,713.94 plus HST from Newmarket Pre-Cast Concrete Products Limited.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report PR-12-19 of Bob Ferguson, Manager of Arena and Parks for information; AND THAT Council advise staff to proceed with entering into an agreement with Hela Spice for the improved access to the end of Capstick Lane; AND THAT a copy of same be forwarded to the Active Transportation Committee and the Township Trails Committee for consideration.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report PR-14-19 of Bob Ferguson, Arena and Parks Manager for information; AND THAT Council direct staff to direct additional funding towards both roof replacements; AND THAT Council award Tender U19-12, Arena Lobby and Refrigeration Room Roof Replacement to Trio Roofing for a price of $150,200 plus HST; AND THAT funds be brought forward from the 2020 Budget.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report PR-15-19 of Bob Ferguson, Arena and Parks Manager for information; AND THAT a copy of same be

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report CL-38/19 of Debbie Leroux, Director of Legislative Services/Clerk for information; AND THAT Council direct staff to proceed with the designation process for the property located at 49 Brock Street West known as the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report TS-03/19 of Councillor Todd Snooks for information; AND THAT Council direct staff to use the report findings and submissions to investigate and bring forward to Council for consideration the costs of temporary and permanent calming measure options; AND THAT based on the report findings and submissions to include a budget and timeline for implementing an ongoing program for speed and calming measure enhancements for the 2019 to 2022 budget years; AND THAT a copy of Report TS-03/19 be forwarded to the Public Works and Operations Department.

THAT Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report BL-05/19 for information; and 8 THAT Council direct staff to purchase the new 2019 By-law Division 4x4 ½ ton truck from Uxbridge Ford in the amount of $35,991.43 plus HST. AND THAT the additional $991.43 be found in savings in the By-law Department Budget.

THAT Council of the Township of Uxbridge receive Report CAO-16/2019 for information.

THAT the Council of the Township of Uxbridge adopt the minutes of the regular meeting of Council of June 10, 2019.

THAT Council Correspondence Item No. a be received for information.

THAT Council Correspondence Item No. b be received for information.

THAT Council Correspondence Item No. c be received for information; AND THAT Council support the assumption of services for the Fisico Subdivision.

THAT Council Correspondence Item No. d be received for information; AND THAT Council refer the request for a turn around area at the end of the dead end portion of Feasby Road to Carolyn Morton, Durham District School Board Trustee for Uxbridge, Scugog and Brock Townships for consideration.

THAT Council of the Township of Uxbridge endorse the regular meeting of the General Purpose and Administration Committee of June 17, 2019.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law Nos. 2019-078 and 2019-095 to 2019-102 and the same be read a first and second time.

THAT Council of the Township of Uxbridge direct the Chair of the Finance Committee and Mayor Barton to investigate best and most cost effective options for a new computer or laptop for Councillors including price/reimbursement caps.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law No. 2019-103 being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its Regular Meeting of Monday, June 24th, 2019 and the same be read a first and second time.

THAT By-law No. 2019-103 be now read a third time, finally passed and the Mayor and Clerk duly sign and seal same.
